Whether you are planning on having a home birth, hospital birth with a registered midwife or a sovereign free birth, solo or with friends and family. I can help you prepare and plan accordingly. I support women on a practical level with sovereign free birth outside the medicalised industrial complex. However I have experience in hospital and home birth environments as a midwife (newly surrended registration) and share my experience and knowledge to help you decide what is best for you via this virtual platform, Zoom (or if you prefer 'WhatsAap' or a simple voice call). We will talk about anything you want to talk about. Some women have questions prepared while others just want to connect, feel heard as they navigate their pregnancy sensations, pick my brain. Letting the conversation evolve freely, just like birth there are no rules. Topics include but are not limited to normal and adverse signs and symptoms in pregnancy and birth. Nutrition, options of diagnostics in the system. Stages of labour with a deep respect for spiritual and physical needs. Navigation of risk factors and emergency situations that may occur in birth and postpartum. Nourishment, post partum preparation and options of care and alternative support providers. My aim is to support your autonomy in experiencing your dream birth. Helping you feel capable and free, not fearful, coerced or full of dread as you approach the birth portal. It is important to know that my advice is not medical advice, I do not prescribe medical treatments or pharmacological remedies. Pregnancy, birth and motherhood are not medical events.
